Shocking Video: Kevin Ware Breaks His Leg During NCAA Game
College hoops fans were horrified Sunday as a player for the Louisville Cardinals fell and broke his right leg, sustaining a gruesome injury that left his shin bone “fully protruding” from his leg, according to one report from the scene.
Louisville player Kevin Ware sustained the injury roughly 6 minutes before the half, as he jumped to defend against a Duke player’s shot. In video published to YouTube (embedded below), Ware appears to land wrong, and his right leg just folds in on itself.
The reaction from the Louisville bench was immediate, with players recoiling in horror as they witnessed the injury.
