Former White House aide Omarosa Manigault Newman is accused of violating federal ethics rules. The Justice Department filed a civil suit Tuesday claiming the former Apprentice star failed to file a required financial disclosure form after being fired by President Trump in 2017. Omarosa’s lawyer called the allegations “untrue” and accused the White House of retaliation against his client. Manigault Newman wrote a sharply critical tell-all book about her time in the West Wing. The DOJ lawsuit is seeking a 50-thousand dollar fine for violating the Ethics in Government Act.
