Former NFL player Colin Kaepernick is reacting to Rihanna’s boycott of Super Bowl 53. Rihanna shared a sketch of Kaepernick taking a knee in his NFL uniform on Instagram, and wrote that she was beefing with anyone who thought she was watching the big game. He re-shared the post on his own Instagram, and said he appreciated the support. Rihanna was one of a few musical artists who turned down the opportunity to perform at the Super Bowl Halftime Show because of the NFL’s stance on Kaepernick and other players kneeling during the National Anthem in protest of racism and police brutality.
