The Pro Football Hall of Fame does not plan to honor wide receiver Terrell Owens individually at next month’s induction ceremony.  Executive director Joe Horrigan tells the Talk of Fame Sports Network there is no reason to bring him up and the focus will be on the guys who are there in Canton.  Owens stated last month he would not attend the ceremony and will instead give an acceptance speech at his alma mater, the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.  Owens’ name will be read with the rest of the Class of 2018, but Horrigan says the Hall of Fame will mail him his gold jacket.

Sometimes you just have to leave your hurt feelings at the door and accept this honor instead of proving a point because you didn’t get in on the first ballot, which he SHOULD’VE been by stats alone. But the main thing is that he’s IN and that can never be taken away. It’s just a shame that he’s not participating.
