From the category of, “Nah, I’m good.” Boston Red Sox MVP Mookie Betts says he will not go to the White House to celebrate the team’s World Series win. Betts told the Boston Globe he decided not to make the visit, which is scheduled for May. Betts didn’t explain why he decided to skip the event. At least one other Red Sox player isn’t going, and several others are on the fence. The Sox ownership says the White House visit isn’t mandatory.
