Although we’re barely into October, retailers are expecting to ring up nearly 721-billion dollars in sales this holiday season.  The National Retail Federation projects about a four-and-a-half percent increase in sales over last November and December.  The industry group cited a healthy economy and strong consumer confidence heading into the holiday season.  The forecast is in line with the NRF’s prediction that annual retails sales for 2018 will increase at least four-and-a-half percent over last year.
