#WTLCIndyNews: Reactions Are Coming In After Sickness And Death Befalls Two Legendary Entertainment Families

Tragedy strikes two entertainment families.
In Atlanta, Georgia the Brown-Houston family are mourning the death of the only child of singers, the late-Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown. Bobby Kristina Brown, 22, passed away surrounded by loved ones on Sunday. The young woman had been in a coma for more than five months after being found unconscious in a bathtub at her suburban Atlanta home. A statement released by the family said that Bobbi Kristina, “made her transition peacefully.”
Reactions are coming in to Bobbi Kris’ passing.
Billboard Senior Editor Alex Gale said she never had a chance to find herself due to the fame of her parents. He said, “if anything she fell into that shadow and that’s what killed her.” Gale said he also expects the drama surrounding the Houston and Brown families to likely continue beyond Bobbi Kristina’s death due the amount of money involved. He added that he feels for her grandmother, Cissy Houston, who has now lost a daughter and a granddaughter in strangely similar circumstances. Her mother, Whitney, was found in the bathtub of the Beverly Hilton Hotel and died back in February 2012. He added, “you’ve also got to feel for Bobby Brown…he’s still a father who has had to watch this happen over months.”
Celebrities are turning to Twitter to express their condolences over Bobbi Kristina’s death. Oprah, Missy Elliott, Rosie O’Donnell, Vivica A. Fox, Sherri Shepard, Dr. Phil, Rev. Al Sharpton and Snoop Dogg are just some of the public figures that are paying tribute to her through social media. Oprah wrote, “peace at last!”; Shepard wrote, “She is finally back in her Mother’s arms.”; while Elliott sent prayers to the Brown and Houston families. (Various Tweets are linked. Now to the Jackson family. While some of the Jackson family were reaching out to the Brown-Houston family with words of condolences and comfort, like LaToya Jackson below,
…word then comes out of Brazil that the patriarch of their own legendary entertainment clan, Joe Jackson, has suffered a stroke. The 87-year-old was celebrating his birthday when he woke up Sunday morning not feeling well. Entertainment website, TMZ broke this story. Jackson is hospitalized at this time. His other daughter, Janet Jackson, who just released her video for song “No Sleeep” to support her upcoming world tour with an Indianapolis date of January 29, 2016, paid homage to her famous dad for his 87th birthday.
