RTV6 is honoring the calls for full transparency surrounding an interview with a person who claims they witnessed the fatal shooting of Dreasjon Reed.

A protest in downtown Indianapolis on Wednesday briefly blocked streets as demonstrators called for justice in the cases of Dreasjon Reed and McHale Rose, two men shot and killed by IMPD officers within 24 hours of each other back in May.

It's been months since many businesses in downtown Indianapolis have been filled with customers. Just as coronavirus restrictions were eased, some restaurants and stores were boarding up windows after protests turned violent. After months of disruptions, one business owner said downtown Indy needs help or it may never be the same.

Aside from protesting, many people are speaking out and expressing themselves through art in support of the Black Lives Matter movement.
