New cable channel Centric announces the return of the “Soul Train Awards” with Academy Award nominated actors Taraji P. Henson and Terrence Howard slated to co-host, organizers announced Thursday.
As previously reported, the event will tape at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta on Tuesday, Nov. 3 and will premiere on both Centric and BET in a special simulcast at 9 p.m.
The “Centric Presents: 2009 Soul Train Awards” special will honor the careers and musical influences of legendary artists Chaka Khan, Charlie Wilson, L.A. Reid and Kenny “Baby Face” Edmonds.
Tickets for the show are by invite only and not available for purchase.
