Step 1

Forgive mistakes and move on First, learn how to let go. Let go of all the past mistakes, forgive, and move on forward. Remember, everyone makes their mistakes, so learn to forget and let go of the past. Instead, take the bad with the good, and learn to take each day as it comes.

  • Step 2

Remember why you love your partner

Remember why you love your partner

Second, remember why you fell in love with your partner the first place. Remember the first hug and kiss your partner gave you? What about the butterflies in your stomach? Remember the way how he held your hand. Instead of drawing attention to all the bad things, focus on all of the good things that brought the two of you together in the first place.

  • Step 3

Third, cherish all the memories you shared together with your partner. If you’re having a hard time remembering, try pulling out the birthday and Valentine’s day cards he gave you. Pull out your photo album and recall how happy the two of you were. Let all these good memories sink back inside of you.

  • Step 4

Take a road trip together somewhere quiet. No Kids, no distractions, just the two of you. You don’t even need to have to start a serious conversation. Just get to know each other again. Try to discover all the good things you couldn’t see past your partner.

  • Step 5

Try remembering how it first felt to be in love with your partner. There is a reason that you’re still with your partner. Learn to accept your partner, and let go of all grudges and resentments.

  • Step 6

See your love in a new light. Do you remember what kinds of things your partner likes? The genre of music? Favorite things to do? Surprise them with a random gift. Pamper your love with some flowers. The point is, pretend as if you just started dating.

  • Step 7

Remember, bringing back the spark won’t happen overnight. Be completely honest, and hash out any differences. Listen to each other and try your best to help each other out, moving forward together.
