A Los Angeles gang is trying to trademark a slogan about the late rapper Nipsey Hussle. Many hip-hop artists have been using the phrase The Marathon Continues in reference to his Marathon clothing store, as a way to keep his legacy alive. The L.A. Crips have reportedly filed for a trademark over the phrase, and plan to use the profits to continue the work Hussle was doing in the community. The rapper was shot and killed outside his Marathon clothing store in March. He was 33.
