New York Yankees reliever Mariano Rivera is the first unanimous selection for Baseball’s Hall of Fame. There was no suspense over Rivera’s induction, but baseball’s voters are known to make statements by leaving worthy players off their lists. Not so with the all-time leader in saves. Rivera spent his entire 19-year career with the Yankees and helped them win five World Series. The 13-time all-star was named the most valuable player during the 1999 Series’ sweep of Atlanta. Other players to be inducted are Mike Mussina, Edgar Martinez and Roy Halladay.
