Powerball Lottery Reaches Third Highest Jackpot

Source: Scott Olson / Getty

The 12th largest jackpot in Powerball history is going unclaimed. Officials announced shortly after Saturday’s drawing that no one had won the $340 million prize. That means the jackpot is growing again and will rise for Wednesday’s drawing up to $400 million bucks. When it does so, it will mark the largest jackpot since September of 2013, when someone from South Carolina claimed the prize at just more than $399 million. If Wednesday’s winner decides to run with a lump sum payout, that estimated jackpot would be nearly $245 million. Your odds of winning–one-in-292,000,000. But you could be ‘the one.’
