Members of the Nation of Islam are praising a meeting between Minister Louis Farrakhan and rapper Eminem. The “Detroit Free Press” says the two-and-a-half hour meeting took place August 25th in Farrakhan’s Detroit hotel room. Farrakhan was in Detroit to talk to local leaders about his plans for the 20th anniversary of the Million Man March. The Detroit leader of the Nation of Islam said Farrakhan and Eminem had a “beautiful” discussion. He said Farrakhan talked to Eminem about using his power through rap music and hip-hop culture to be a positive influence to children. Farrakhan also said afterward in an Instagram post that the two had a “beautiful dialogue.”
