On May 28, 2014, Dr. Maya Angelou passed away. Before her passing she agreed and signed off to do a music project. This project would involve her poems with a musical touch. After she died Oprah Winfrey became the co-producer of the project and really pushing it. The album is called “Caged Bird Songs” and it consists of help from producer Shawn Rivera who sources said had Dr. Angelou in the studio booth recording to hip-hop tracks. Below are the list of tracks on the album and can be purchased in two versions: the 13-track standard edition and/or an 18-track deluxe edition.
