The Reverend Jesse Jackson is speaking out against the controversial comments made by “Duck Dynasty” star Phil Robertson.  Politico.com says, Jackson released a statement to the “Chicago Tribune” saying the now-suspended cast member said what he did “within a context of what he seemed to believe was white privilege.” Jackson and his civil rights group Rainbow PUSH Coalition are asking to meet with A&E network, who broadcasts the show.

You’ll recall,  Robertson sparked outrage with an interview in “GQ” magazine, in which he made anti-gay comments and comments regarding civil rights of black people.  Robertson said that when he was young, he used to pick cotton alongside African-Americans in Louisiana and never saw “the mistreatment of any black person.”
