The man who played Jackie Robinson has been tapped to portray the ‘Godfather of Soul’ James Brown in an upcoming biopic. Chadwick Boseman will start filming in Misissippi this fall. The film is being co-produced by Brian Grazer and Mick Jagger through Jagger’s production company Jagged films.
“The Help” director Tate Taylor will be directing.
Before Boseman was selected,names like Eddie Murphy(obvious choice) and Wesley Snipes were possible candidates.
No release date has been given for this movie.
