Despite reports saying Jay-Z and Beyonce lost their case to trademark their daughter’s name, Blue Ivy, their application is still in the works.
Beyonce wants to use the name to open a baby boutique selling products like baby bedding and strollers.
Even though their application is still processing, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office awarded a Boston boutique the name last week (the office is still waiting for one retailer’s petition).
BUT since the two businesses are not competitors, Beyonce may be able to have “Blue Ivy” too.
