Whoa Nelly!
Rapper Nelly and six others were detained after police found heroin, marijuana and a loaded gun on his tour bus.
According to TMZ, Texas police raided the bus at a checkpoint in Sierra Blanca and found 36 small bags of heroin totaling .64 ounces, over 10 pounds of marijuana in a large green duffle bag and a loaded .45 pistol
One of Nelly’s passengers, Brian Keith Jones, said it was his so Nelly and the others were released.
Nelly made a statement letting everyone know he had nothing to do with the contraband brought on the bus:
It is my understanding a member of my staff made an unfortunate decision to bring unlawful materials onto our tour bus that resulted in his arrest this morning, October 11th.”
“Neither I nor anyone else on the tour bus was aware of his decision to bring these on board. Law enforcement officials in Sierra Blanca, Texas did not press charges against anyone other than that individual.”
On a side note, this is the same checkpoint where Snoop Dogg, Willie Nelson and Fiona Apple were detained for drugs.
