Lifetime is airing a follow-up to the controversial Surviving R. Kelly docuseries this weekend. A two-hour special titled Surviving R. Kelly: The Impact, premieres on Sunday, May 4th. It will be hosted by Soledad O’Brien, and will feature reactions to the original series. A press release says it’s intended to “elevate the conversation on sexual violence and what it means to be a survivor. The Surviving R. Kelly series is about the R-and-B singer’s alleged sexual, physical and mental abuse of multiple women. Since it’s airing, he has been charged with ten counts of sexual abuse.
