When the trailer for Michel’le’s biopic film “Surviving Compton: Dre, Suge & Michel’le,” first premiered, not many people were shocked to see Dr Dre being shown abusive towards ex-wife Michel’le.
However, Dr. Dre, himself is not happy about this and is ready to sue.
In fact, according to TMZ, his legal team has sent a cease and desist letter demanding that Sony call of the movie or they will be taken to court.
Sony has yet to release a statement on if they are calling it off or not and Michel’le has yet to respond to this new development.
Back in March 2015, singer Michel’le accused Dre of physical abuse during their time together as a couple, but she did not initiate legal action.
The film is set to be shown on Lifetime on October 15th. Rhyon Nicole Brown (“Lincoln Heights”) will play Michel’le. While newcomer Curtis Hamilton will play Dr. Dre and R. Marcos Taylor, will reprise his role as Suge Knight after having starred as him in feature film, “Straight Outta Compton.”
