I’ll call this, a tip of my hat to my former media boss, the late-Bill Mays, who was an angel investor.

If you’d like to learn about the process of angel investing, Indy, here’s your access to it courtesy of the Chicago Urban League who reached out to me this week. They are hosting the Angel Investing Overview (AIO), an Angel Resource Institute (ARI) education program on angel investing. You’ll have to make your way north to Chicago on Wednesday, May 25, 2016…so save the date. During a full-day session, the AIO teaches best practices of angel investing in an interactive format that includes presentations, distinguished panel discussions and case studies. The training session takes place at the law offices of Taft Stettinius & Hollister, 111 E. Upper Wacker Drive, Chicago, IL from 7:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. This is a program for African-American entrepreneurs and venture capitalists from the Chicago Urban League in partnership with ARI (ARI is an innovative nonprofit that focuses on delivering top-notch education on proven best practices in angel investing to both entrepreneurs and investor, as well as delivering the most robust data trends in angel investing). Again it’s on Wednesday, May 25. For more info: Call 773-624-8807 or contact the Director of the Center for Entrepreneurship at the Chicago Urban League by email: ccosta@thechicagourbanleague.org.
