Seems that having a hit show is bringing lawsuits out of the woodwork and season two of “Empire” hasn’t even started!
According to TMZ, Jon Astor-White is suing producer Lee Daniels and Danny Strong, along with Imagine Entertainment and 21st Century Fox for 500-million-dollars. Astor-White claims he had previously pitched another show called “King Solomon” back in 2007, and insists the plot was too close to “Empire.” He said he wanted the cast to include Richard Roundtree, Alicia Keys, Kanye West and George Hamilton. It would follow the story of a record executive and his family’s battle over a record label.
