Kendrick teamed up with Reebok back in December, in hopes of not only designing sneakers, but to help develop programs that keep kids off the streets.  In a press conference, Lamar said, “Reebok has a history of helping kids in the community realize their potential is limitless.  I saw what the brand was doing, and I wanted to be a part of it and make it even stronger. It’s as simple as that. Kids that listen to my music are looking for inspiration. It’s important that I continue that message in anything I represent.”

Today, Kendrick unveiled his first sneaker with Reebok.  The hopes of the shoe’s design is to bring rival gang members together to stop violence.  The white Ventilator sneaker features accents of blue on the left and accents of red on the right.  The word “neutral” is written on the tongue of both shoes.  The message is clear, just as Kendrick’s “i” album artwork, which promoted the same message of positive unity.  The shoes are set to hit stores July 18th, and will cost around $145.  You can check out the pictures of the shoes, and watch the short video titled “Get Inspired With Kendrick Lamar & Reebok” below.
