The people behind Sunday’s Billboard Music Awards say they had no idea Kanye West planned to unleash an explicit version of his song “All Day.” Kanye closed out the show, but his performance was heavily censored. Insiders with the production tell TMZ that they assumed the rapper would perform a television-friendly version of the song, and were just as shocked as viewers when he didn’t. Apparently, one of the reasons the performance took them by surprise was that Kanye didn’t take part in a dress rehearsal before the show.
Maybe that should’ve been a hint that something was up….
