For some fans of blues music, today marks the day music died. The world is waking up without “The King of the Blues,” legendary musician B.B. King who died overnight at the age of 89.

King made many appearances here in Indy. One of the most memorable for me was at the Indy Jazz Fest downtown in Military Park in June of 1999.  He returned to the event in June of 2002 as a headliner.
