Temporary jobs and the legions of temporary workers performing them are on the rise. Temp jobs have increased over 50 percent in the past six years–that’s dating back to when we were deeply cemented in an economic crash in 2009. A recent report by CareerBuilder says that trend is likely to continue. The job-finding website looked at data from over 90 state and national employment sources. They say most temp jobs pay under $15 an hour, but some offer up to $40 an hour. So what gigs pay over $15, you ask? CareerBuilder says the most popular temp job with an hourly rate over that hourly wage thresh-hold is Computer Systems Analyst. CSA temporary jobs usually pay around $39 per hour. Not your area of expertise? No problem. They also listed the most popular temp job paying less than $15 an hour. Capturing that distinction is Home Health Aide. People who do this job get paid around $10 an hour on average. An interesting side note, the temporary employment industry was one of the industries that according to the survey, increased its own workers tremendously at the official end of the recession. They grew 57 percent between the years 2009 and 2014.
