During a recent interview with Terry McMillan she talked about a “Waiting To Exhale” sequel. The 1995 hit film starring Whitney Houston, Angela Basset, Loretta Devine, and Lela Rochon was based on the friendship on these four ladies and their love lives. According to the author, there will not be a sequel any time soon for this movie. She did put effort into continuing the story but it just did not work out after writing three different scripts and especially the sudden death of Whitney Houston. Whitney played the role of “Savannah” and McMillan believes the only person that could play her is Viola Davis.
