Smartphones are getting in the way of business, according to a new survey about workplace etiquette conducted by Kessler International. The poll asked those working in management roles across the country about their staff, and the majority say they find their workers can be “inconsiderate” and “rude” in the office. When asked what behaviors they consider to be the most disrespectful, the top item is “untimely and inappropriate use of cell phones.” Other top behaviors that bother managers in the workplace include inappropriate clothing, lack of courtesy, use of street talk in professional meetings and the inability of younger staff to write an email.
