Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton is in the hospital after being involved in a nasty car accident in uptown Charlotte, North Carolina. The “Charlotte Observer” reports Newton was involved in a crash that included a car flipping over a bridge and another vehicle in an intersection. Charlotte television station WCNC tweeted a photo of Newton being loaded into an ambulance. There is no word on what injuries the 25-year-old signal-caller sustained. He has passed for over 28-hundred yards, 16 touchdowns and 11 interceptions, while rushing for 292 yards and three more scores in 12 games this season.
