At the White House this weekend, Al Green and Sting will be guests of honor. The singers are among this year’s Kennedy Center Honors recipients, along with actor Tom Hanks, comedienne Lily Tomlin, and ballerina Patricia McBride. The prestigious award recognizes performers for their contributions to the arts.
Stephen Colbert will be the host of the 37th annual Kennedy Center Honors which takes place Dec. 7th and will be recorded for broadcast on the CBS Network for the 37th consecutive year as a two-hour primetime special, airing Tuesday, Dec. 30 at 9 p.m.
