Pres Obama gives post Grand Jury Ferguson speech

The grand jury came back in the St. Louis suburb of Ferguson Monday night deciding not to indict the police officer who shot an unarmed teenager in August. The St. Louis County prosecutor announced in the early 9 p.m. hour that there was “no sufficient evidence” to indict police officer Darren Wilson in the killing of Michael Brown. At the news, tensions in Ferguson that were already high, began to erupt. Moments after 10 p.m. Eastern, President Barack Obama addressed the nation echoing the sentiments of the parents of Michael Brown. Those sentiments were a call for peace in their disappointment and no violence.  Police however attempted to clear streets and have hurled tear gas at protesters after unrest and looting began with some still calling for justice and the nation’s leader calling for an acceptance of this grand jury’s decision.
