Earth, Wind And Fire Releasing First Holiday Album

Hard to believe after all of these years that this has never happened…Earth,Wind and Fire is releasing their FIRST Christmas album later on this month.(Yes, I know it’s October but..)
Frontman Phillip Bailey tells “Billboard” they “stretched the envelope a bit on several songs” for “Holiday.” He compares their renditions of season classics like “Winter Wonderland” and “Sleigh Ride” to the group’s cover of the Beatles’ “Got To get You Into My Life,” saying “it’s Christams songs but still EWF-esque.” Verdine White admits the band “never thought about doing a holiday album before.” But he says it’s something both their label and fans have asked for, so they’re hoping “the audience likes it.”
The album will be available October 21st.
