Michael Sam is fell short of making the St. Louis Rams 53-man roster. ESPN reports the defensive end has been cut before the league-mandated deadline for team’s to finalize a roster. Sam was attempting to become the first openly-gay player to make an NFL team’s 53-man roster. He is viewed as a candidate for the team’s practice squad. The Missouri product was selected in the seventh round of this year’s NFL Draft.
