Rumors are swirling about the possibility of a new Janet Jackson album. The star herself is addressing the speculation, which stems from a producer by the name of Ian Cross. He gave an interview to “Barefoot Sound” claiming that Janet is currently at work on new music. Janet is now addressing fans directly, however, tweeting “If there’s a new project, you’ll hear about it from my lips.” Cross — who has credits on three of Janet’s past albums — told the site that he’s working with her at studios in Qatar and around Europe. He claimed that Janet has hired him full-time to produce vocals and spoke about his “special” friendship with the singer.
The rumored album would be Janet’s first in over six years. Her last album, “Discipline,” was released in 2008 featuring the song ‘Feedback.’
