It seems that using too many “LOLs,” “JKs” and “OMGs” in text messages isn’t considered good etiquette when it comes to dating. According to a survey conducted by TalkTalk Mobile has found that acronyms and emoticons can make a person seem too needy and desperate when used in excess. Other habits considered the biggest turn-offs include texting after 11 p.m., resending a text twice if a person has not replied and e-mailing just to chitchat. Sarcasm also seems to be causing problems in the texting world. Four in ten people say they’ve misinterpreted a text from someone that was meant to be taken sarcastically. Good texting habits include sending a text good-night and always responding within two hours.
