  • For the dog enthusiast, the Indy Winter Classic Dog Show at the Indiana State Fairgrounds West Pavilion until 5pm today and tomorrow.  See http://www.hoosierkennelclub.org/IWC.html for details.
  • Visit an attraction with a class all its own, it’s the Indianapolis Zoo in the White River State Park with different events and the animals of course. Plus experience a botanical bonanza at White River Gardens inside the zoo.  See http://www.indyzoo.com/ for times and prices.

  • Keep your new years resolutions with Indianapolis Sport, Fitness and Hobby Show at the State Fairgrounds with over 300 local and national vendors with the best in products and services.  Children under 6 are free and it runs through Sunday at 5pm.  For more details see http://www.sportshowindiana.com/.
  • It’s Black History month and the Sankofa Black Heritage Festival is at the Indiana State Museum.  Its a one day celebration with dancing, drums, community fair and more all hosted by Julian Grace from WISH-TV.  The event is free and does not include museum admission.  Call 317.232.1637 or click on http://www.indianamuseum.org/.
  • It’s a Creativity Fest at Indiana Landmarks Center off of Central Ave today.  It’s a free family event showcasing Arts for Learning programs.  If you want to participate see http://artsforlearning.org/.
  • For the grown folks, check out Grape to Glass Winery tour at Easley Winery.  This is a sure-fire way to keep you warm on this cold day.  NO reservations required but large groups must call in advance.  See http://www.easleywinery.com/tours.html.
  • Visit the Eiteljorg Museum for live storytelling of two great African-Americans every Saturday and hear about Native American culture as well through stories and song.  See http://www.eiteljorg.org/ for times.
  • Check out 106.7 WTLC’s own Kenny Kixx as he’ll be out today from 1-3pm at the Kmart at 2715 Madison Ave. with “Share the Word” for Black History month where the focus is on financial empowerment.  See http://tlcnaptown.com/ for details
