Indiana University‘s Assembly Hall will be undergoing a name change after the school received a $40 million gift from alumna Cindy Simon Skjodt.

Assembly Hall will be renamed the Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall after renovations are finished in 2016.

Simon Skjodt is an IU alum that has given millions of dollars to IU over the years.

The $40 million will be part of a larger athletic fund-raising campaign to improve facilities. Funds from the Simon Skjodt gift will be used for renovations on the 42-year-old Assembly Hall.
