Tyrese Gibson paid an emotional visit to the site where his Fast & the Furious co-star, Paul Walker died in an horrific car crash.

Gibson came to the scene in Santa Clarita, California, where Walker was killed when the Porsche Carrera he was travelling in crashed into a lamppost and burst into flames.

Paul’s friend Roger Rodas, who was driving, also died in the crash.

Tyrese did not say a word as he walked up to the site, but simply broke down in tears.

He then took a piece of the wreckage from the scene and left in silence.

On hearing of his death, Tyrese posted an emotional message on Instagram.

It read:

“My heart hurts it’s broken no one can convince me that this is real…. Prayer warriors please pray real hard for his only child, his daughter and family… #HeartOfAnAngel13YrsFamilyForeverWeJustCelebreatedYour40thBirthday….. My God… My God… I can’t believe I’m writing this”

He later posted a pictured of the piece of scrap metal he took from the scene with the message:

“I will keep your energy with me forever#AshesOfAnAngel fast family around the world we live you and we love you

“Paul is the heartbeat of this franchise and were gonna see to it that his energy and presence lives on forever #myhearthurtssobad”
