A Boston-area man has plead guilty to distribution and possession of child-pornography and solicitation to commit a crime of violence should face at least 27 years of incarceration.
Court documents say he had some remarkably vile and stomach-turning plans, including planning to kidnap, rape, and eat children. His home also contained what feds have described as a “dungeon”.
Prosecutors say Geoffrey Portway, who went by the name ‘Fat Longpig’ during the online chats that put him in the focus of police, pled guilty to “some of the most vile and heinous crimes known to our society.”
A lawyer in Portway’s defense claimed his client “lived in a fantasy world” and no evidence that he actually harmed a child could be presented.
When Portway’s home was searched by authorities last year, tens of thousands of images of child pornography were seized, along with over 4,000 exchanges of child pornography between Portway and the company he kept online.
Authorities also found a soundproof room furnished with a metal cage with a hole for feeding the occupant, metal bondage equipment, and a child-sized coffin made of plywood.
