Indianapolis fast-food workers joined their counterparts nationwide in walking off the job today taking part in a strike protesting what they believe are insufficient wages.

Many participants in the campaign are stating they should make at least $15 an hour, which is more than twice the $7.25 an hour minimum wage, which many fast-food employees work for.

Organizers say walkouts are set to take place in cities all over the nation in chains such as McDonald’s, Taco Bell, and Wendy’s. It’s expected to be the largest strike by fast-food workers, according to organizers.
