Lee Thompson Young, who starred on the Disney Channel in ‘The Famous Jett Jackson’ and as running back Chris Comer in ‘Friday Night Lights’ has committed suicide at the age of 29. He was discovered this morning with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
His publicist released a statement to TMZ:
“It is with great sadness that I announce that Lee Thompson Young tragically took his own life this morning … Lee was more than just a brilliant young actor, he was a wonderful and gentle soul who will be truly missed.”
Young was currently starring on TNT’s ‘Rizzoli & Isles’. When he didn’t report for work this morning, his landlord was called to check on him, at which point his body was discovered.
