2 Women Shot in Lawrence Monday Night

It was the first of two separate, double shootings, in Lawrence overnight when Two women were shot on in the 2000 block of Glenridge Drive just before 11 p.m. last night. IMPD said, The two victims alert and conscious, but suffering from gunshot wounds and were taken to Wishard Memorial Hospital in stable, but serious condition. Another double shooting happened in Lawrence around 5 a.m. this morning. 2 Dead in Lawrence Murder-Suicide Tuesday Morning

Two people were killed in an apparent murder-suicide shooting at a residence in Lawrence early morning. Just before 5 a.m., police were called to the Salem Courthouse apartment complex, where investigators said a man fatally shot his wife before fatally shooting himself. Two teens inside the apartment suffered head wounds and three younger children were taken into custody by Child Protective Services, police said.

 

High School Teacher Accused of Inappropriate Relationship Fired

A Perry Township Teacher is out of a job this morning. Perry Meridian High School Physics Teacher and Football Coach, Denver Alexander’s contract was terminated at a school board meeting last night, following allegations he had an inappropriate relationship with a student. IMPD and CPS investigated and cleared the teacher of any wrong doing, but still The School Board voted 6 to 1 to let that teacher go.

 

Sprinkler System Not Working In Warehouse Fire

The sprinkler system was not working at the Belmont Avenue warehouse when it burned down.  Investigators told the “Indianapolis Star,” they aren’t sure yet why it wasn’t working.  The fire department says the building was inspected in 2007 and the paperwork mentioned an improperly working sprinkler, among other safety issues.
