There are a few perks that come along with being a reality television star, such as instant stardom (for some) and being paid to basically act the fool on camera. There’s also a downside, especially when fans get together and decide that they no longer want you on the show. Unfortunately, that seems to be the case with Nicci Gilbert. A few days ago, a petition surfaced on the ‘net in which fans are urging TV One producers to get rid of the former Brownstone singer, and even offered suggestions about who they want to replace her! The petition reads:
Nicci, never being one to back down, caught wind of the petition and blamed R&B Divas executive producer, Phil Thornton. She held nothing back as she went on an extensive rant via her Twitter page.
She also explained that just prior to her rant, Thornton released a series of “disrespectful” tweets about her and explained that she finds that his editing process constantly portrays her in a negative light. In the midst of all of the drama, an R&B Divas viewer and obvious Syleena Johnson stan, came forward to take credit for starting the petition.
