The newly converted Rastafarian rapper now known as Snoop Lion, is not only acting in the new “One Life to Live” (yes, the soap opera), but he’s also recording the theme song.
Prospect Park/The Online Network is producing the new version of the show in which Snoop will appear as himself in several episodes. He’ll also write, produce and perform the theme song entitled, “Brand New Start,” featuring Iza Lach.
It’s an interesting twist to the once canceled ABC series. The theme song is a great fit as the show gets a bit of new life in it.
“We’re thrilled to have the support of such an iconic artist, like Snoop Lion. To have him write and produce the theme song for this series and to have the amazingly talented Iza Lach on board, is just incredible. We are extremely grateful and excited for fans to hear the new theme song and of course catch Snoop Lion in upcoming episodes,” said Jeff Kwatinetz, chairman and CEO of Prospect Park.
The new episodes will be available through Hulu and iTunes beginning April 29.
