The life and death of West Coast rapper Eazy E is chronicled in a new documentary arriving on DVD today. “Ruthless Memories” arrives on the 18th anniversary of Eazy’s death. Director Sergio Hernandez posted a six-minute trailer for the film on YouTube last month.

Told through the eyes and stories of those who knew him, the documentary promises to guide viewers through the rapper’s background, including his childhood and rise in the rap game. Born Eric Wright in Compton, California, Eazy E passed away on March 26, 1995 of complications from AIDS. He was 31 years old.
