Fans of Snoop Lion — a.k.a. Snoop Dogg — can now witness Snoop’s transition to reggae first hand. The rapper-turned-Rasta’s documentary “Reincarnated” hits limited theaters today. The “dogg-umentary” follows Snoop as he embarks on a spiritual journey to Jamaica to discover the roots of the Rastafari movement. Along the way Snoop meets with local Rastafari leaders, including Bunny Wailer of the legendary reggae band the Wailers. As he dives deeper into Rastafari culture, Snoop feels the urge to shed his former life as a gangster rapper and eventually he becomes “reincarnated” as Snoop Lion. Snoop also takes fans inside the lab with him as he cuts his first reggae album “Reincarnated.” The film opens in six cities across the United States, including New York, Los Angeles and Chicago. Fans in San Francisco, Atlanta and Miami will also have a chance to view the film.

Meanwhile, Snoop Lion’s first reggae album “Reincarnated” will hit stores on April 23rd.
