Dr. Dre’s Beats Electronics is onto something bigger and better in the ever evolving world of technology.

The company just received a $60 million investment for Project Daisy, a streaming music service created by Beats.

Billionaire Len Blavatnik’s Access Industries led Funding for the branch project (which may become it’s own spin-off company).

Daisy’s been growing steadily in the background, but is backed by of course, Dre and Jimmy Iovine, as well as Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails. It was announced earlier this year the soon-to-be sister company will be headed by Topspin founder Ian Rogers.

It will officially launch late 2013
