You might wonder why, of all known animals, only dogs are known as “man’s best friend”. If you have a pet dog, it would be easier to answer this question. You can certainly spot the answers behind all those questions.

The domestic dog can safely live an intimate relationship with humans. Compared to other mammals that look at humans as a food source, dogs instead could learn to love and protect you, when they are treated well.

There have been so many stories told about how dogs were able to save the lives of human beings. Dogs have this capability of returning the love and care that is being given to them by their owners. They tend to give this back by providing their human bosses with the companionship, attention, and unconditional protection. While other mammals would seem to grow too temperamental, dogs tend to keep their cool, and do as their trainers tell them. There could be times when you turn them away, but dogs never feel bad about it. They have their own selfless way of showing their respect and love to you.

Being constantly with human beings, dogs develop some sense of belongingness to the human world. They develop the feelings human beings have. They have the ability to develop love, respect, and loyalty to human beings, especially those who are taking care of them, such that when you get home from work tired and dreary, your pet dog would usually sense this and would make all sorts of gestures and movements to welcome you and let you know that he’s glad you are home.

Dogs in general are the most loyal and intelligent animals. Loyal in the sense that if they are taken cared of well, they would try to protect you from intruders, and bad elements, and could sense that you are in danger. They are quick learners too and easier to train than any other animals. They also become your son or your Little Girl.
