  • Hold deeper conversations with your partner that discuss values, thoughts, feelings and opinions. Open a dialogue with your partner and try to discover beyond the surface of their likes and dislikes, into the fabric of one another’s personalities. How does something make them feel? Happy or sad? More meaningful conversations bond and lead to a better understanding of one another.

  • Show that you care by doing the little things. Things happen that are stressful such as a car stalling on the side of the road or a coffee machine breaking, or emotional issues surrounding a dramatic event in a partner’s life. Helping your partner when he is in a jam really shows that you care.

  • Spend time together out of the house and away from kids, friends or family. While spending time as a family is very important, as well as visiting with friends, if you cannot be alone together and hold conversations, if you constantly look to others to guide conversations between you and your partner, then you may have a communication or compatibility issue. Spending time together allows you to bond, especially if you choose a couple’s bonding activity.

  • Take care of yourself. It is impossible to make love deeper and more meaningful if you fall out of touch with yourself. Whether that means you are not feeling sexy or healthy anymore, you become mentally unavailable to your partner. If you need to feel sexier, try buying new lingerie. If you feel yourself becoming unhealthy, add in a morning or evening run to your routine, and fill your diet up with vegetable snacks and entrees. If suffering from mental stress, talk to your partner to let them know how you feel.

  • Keep up an exciting sexual atmosphere that does not fall into routine. Focus on feeling sexy about your body and making your partner feel sexy too. Flirt with your partner, teasing her with saucy text messages, such as what you are wearing or what you wish you were doing instead with your partner. Set up a candlelit bedroom to entice your lover into bed. You could even try a friendly bet on how to go without sex, then focus on kissing and foreplay.
